I came here with my best friend for my birthday lunch and we ordered the chicken breast kebab which was super juicy and the salmon kebab plate ordered extra crispy. Both entrees had great flavor. Typically chicken kebabs are way too dry but theirs are superb! The salmon was moist but yet crispy on the edges. Also the roasted tomatoes had great char flavor! Remember to use your yelp check in for a little bite of baklava and a cup of black cardamom tea. The baklava was lightly sweetened and perfect for my liking. My friend asked them to make me a birthday dessert and that was sweet. They put together 2 mini brownie bites (sugar bowl bakery maybe) with a cup of ice cream. The brownies were dry and ice cream melted very quickly. Was a nice thought though!
Kept meaning to try it and now I'm sorry I didn't go sooner! What a find for Mediterranean food in an area filled with it. Very fresh. Skewers juicy and moist. Presentation was pretty (forgot to take a pic) Salad just right amount of light and lovely dressing. Service excellent and very friendly. Prices are extremely reasonable in these days of higher and higher restaurant prices. Can't wait to go back!
Salt & Olive has outstanding chicken kebab. We are ordering some to-go after finishing our meal at the restaurant! We will be back again. Say hi to Teddy Bear :)
Wait!!! this place is actually really GOOD. It reminded me of my moms cooking. Really authentic and homemade. WOW we will be back for dinner. "Teddy Bear" is a pure joy to be around. What a sweet heart. She needs a raise. Amazing customer service. Supper clean and attentive.
In the center of Glendale, but far enough from busy and loud Americana, this lovely Mediterranean cuisine restaurant attracted me by its fantastic smell of kebab and cozy patio while I was passing it by, hungry enough after a working day. I checked the menu and happily found a nice Chicken noodle soup and a Veggie Kebab plate. The ambience of this place is so welcoming and relaxing: lots of space inside, big patio with cooling fans for hot summer days and warming heating for colder season, good music, romantic lightning and very polite and friendly staff. Food. The soup was served straight away and it was very very good: a bit sour, with melting in my mouth veggies and little pieces of chicken . Together with soft fresh pita I enjoyed it a lot! The Skewer of Veggie Kabob ala-cart I ordered with white rice and a Greek salad. Other options are brown rice and house avocado salad. I also asked for olive oil and the result was just perfect! Vegetables were delicious: whole mushrooms, grilled onions ...were crusty and soft at the same time. I enjoyed every bite! The plate and the portion is really big! Surprisingly, prices are not that highly for this class and type of food and service! So I definitely recommend this place for a nice lunch or dinner and for sure will comeback! Thank you Olive and Salt for this lovely evening and tasty food!
